Retro TV

"Retro TV" is a weekend project to replicate the 80s and 90s retro style television show with damage VHS tape effect. Spend 2 days to do this over a weekend using AfterEffects, Photoshop and Blender3D.

Animation

I have upload the animation in both my Youtube and Vimeo channel.

Old VHS Tape Effect

Most of the works are done in AfterEffects. To make the old tape effect I use the following method.

• Red channel are blur horizontally.
• A displacement layer are animate to move vertically.
• Procedural fractal noise "block" are use to generate the damage effect.
