Painting Anime Tree

This is a quick timelapse video showing how I paint a small scene with anime style tree and grass. This painting took around 35 minutes and was remap to around 2 and a half minutes video. I believe colour selection is quite important to give the anime feel. Usually I will use cold colours (blue/cyan) for the shadow part.

Quick tip

Although we can paint the leaves or grass manually one by one, but it is faster to create a brush with scattering/jitter option to speed up the painting process. Read my anime tree tutorial for more info.
